Founded in 1884 by Fred Bromhead, he was a common sight cycling around Clifton with a specially adapted bicycle carrying his cumbersome photographic apparatus.In the intervening years we have of course moved with the times and instead of recording images on large format glass plates we now use the very latest digital technology!

We have been associated with Clifton College since the early 20th century and indeed on his retirement in 2002 Chris Bromhead deposited all archives up to that point in time with The Old Cliftonian Society as far as images connected with The College. All other material to The Public Records at The Bristol Central Library. There are notable gaps due to a direct hit by an incendiary bomb in 1940…
